Today Apple introduced brand new versions of all of it’s iLife and iWork apps. Each has been reworked with new interface designs and features that dramatically change how they look and feel.

Some apps appear to have been tweaked, rather than completely re-designed. Take GarageBand for example. It still features the same graphical imagery for instruments, but now has a darker menu at the top of the screen with iOS 7-style controls. Pages has been cleaned up. Gone are the leather and wooden panels, instead replaced with a clean, white background. Interestingly, the text format tools have been moved from the upper menu to the top of the keyboard.

iMovie appears to have been given the biggest overhaul. The retro-inspired cinema used for the welcome screen has been ditched in favor of a dark grey wall of color. The editing interface has also been tweaked with a darker background that emphasises video clips and tools.

We’ve put together comparison images so you can see exacly how much has changed. Click on the images to see them at their original resolution.
