How to use photo filters on iPhone & iPad, with iOS 7

iOS 7 Camera Filters

iOS 7 introduces a great new addition to the Camera app: photo filters.

The new filters look great. There are eight to choose from: Mono, Tonal, Noir, Fade, Chrome, process, Transfer and Instant. Each dramatically changes how your photos look, some with darkened shadows that add depth and drama, while others fade the color giving a vintage feel to your shots. Best of all, iOS 7 enables you to preview all eight filters simultaneously, so you can quickly decide which filter works best for the particular moment.

1. Camera app

Start by opening the Camera app. In the bottom right corner of the screen are three overlapped circles. Tap this icon to access the photo filters.
