Get started with Pages for iPad and iPhone
Getting started in Pages is easy. The app includes some great templates to choose from, making it easy to create a letter, CV/Resume, poster, essay, recipe, thank you card, party invitation and more.
Thanks to the intuitive Multi-Touch controls, it’s also easy to quickly navigate through a document with many pages. In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to open and create documents, quickly skim through pages and print wirelessly.
1. Create a document
Open Pages and you’ll see any edited files you’ve created in the Documents view. Tap on one to edit it. To create a new document, tap on the small plus icon in the top left corner of the screen, then choose Create Document. From the following screen you can choose to create a blank document, or select one of many free templates.
2. Jump to a page
To quickly navigate a document, touch your finger against the right side of the screen until the navigator pop-up appears. By dragging your finger up and down you can quickly skim through the document. Lift your finger up to jump to the highlighted page.
3. Print a document
Tap the toolbar icon at the top of the screen, then tap the Share and Print button. Next, choose the Printer you wish to use then tap Print (wireless printers connected to your WiFi connection will automatically appear).
4. Specify pages and copies
Tap the Range button in the Share and Print window to specify how many pages and copies to print. To specify exact pages and copies, simply drag your finger up and down across the scroll buttons.
