It’s likely to be the most popular model of Apple Watch, with the most affordable price, strongest materials and colorful bands.
We’re talking about the Apple Watch Sport, of course. It’s made from a custom 7000 Series alloy that combines aluminium and zinc to create a materiel that’s 60% stronger than typical aluminium, while being 30% lighter than the stainless steel model; and because the aluminium has a brushed look to it, you won’t need to repetitively polish its surface.
As with all Apple Watch models the Sport is water resistant and splash-proof, meaning gym sweat and everyday splashes should be okay, but don’t take the Sport swimming or for a shower. The Apple Watch Sport comes in two shades of aluminium: Silver and Space Grey, and when combined with the five band colors (detailed below), you’ll find a wide range of colours to suit every taste and need.
The Apple Watch comes with a soft rubber band that’s made from Fluoroelastomer; a synthetic rubber that’s comfortable to wear while being flexible, durable and resistant to heat and chemicals. It comes with a simple press fastener, the kind you’re likely to be familiar with other watch straps, which is easy to take off or re-buckle without looking; and you can choose from five colors:
